The RFoG Mininode is aimed at saving fibers and simplifying the traditional network construction. It had solved the problem in the traditional network (HFC) all optical Nodes have to use respective one fiber to deliver their signals toward the headed. Or, used WDM technology, all optic nodes must equip return path Optic Transmitter with WDM wavelength laser. There are different wavelengths each Other. Whether respective one fiber, or WDM technology will take much resource.
RFoG MiniNode adopts a burst-mode laser to digest above problem. Its working environment as GEPON is Passive network, so they can exist together just using different wavelength with GEPON system. GEPON is 1490nm for downlink, 1310 nm for uplink. RFoG can be 1550nm downlink, 1610 uplink. It also largely reduces the funneling noise at uplink channels and improves stability of network operation.
